To remove impurities that may make it difficult to store or sell grain, grain cleaning devices called separators are used.

These devices are designed for use on both small and large farms. The operator can individually adjust the size of the fraction and can load different types of grain, such as rye, wheat, sunflower, corn, legumes or coffee beans.

The principle of operation of the separator is as follows:

the grain is fed into the receiving hopper, where it is evenly distributed and flows into the separation chamber under the influence of its own weight. Thanks to the intensive air flow, heavy impurities and stones are first separated, which end up in the first fraction. The cleaned grain passes to the next tray, while all other impurities and damaged grains are carried by the air flow to the last tray. Light impurities and dust are removed through the air outlet from the separator. Thanks to calibration and mass separation, the grain is prepared for sowing, which allows the most complete part of the grain to be selected, ensuring the presence of a healthy germ part. This in turn leads to greater grain evenness, reducing the amount of material needed for planting and increasing the yield. Pre-cleaning is intended to remove dust and partial removal of non-grain waste, which speeds up the preparation of the grain for temporary storage before further processing.
