Got to say, the PowerShoot tech is interesting. Seed just blasts right down, and it’s cool watching the monitoring in the cab - you really see where the skips and doubles happen. Not perfect: I did have to call the dealer once to sort out the seed depth when the field was a bit sticky, but they walked me through it over the phone. It’s not really specialized for pure no-till, but still gets the job done on my mix of ground. You can switch up row spacing, which comes in handy going from beet to maize. Not the cheapest drill - and training the guys on all the settings took time - but once you get the hang of it, pretty straightforward. Solid machine, no major headaches so far.

So, I’ve had the Tempo F 6 rows on the farm for two seasons. Simple to hook up, doesn’t ask for much power, I’ve even run it behind an old 110hp Deere on good land. The hydraulic adjustment for the support wheels does what it should, keeps the depth right on the bumpy stuff, but I hate crawling around for every tiny tweak. Overall, seed placement is solid, I gotta give it props for that. The big fertilizer tank is a help too, means less stops. Maintenance-wise, nothing tricky in daily service but those seed meters can clog if you let trash build up. I’d put convenience at a solid 4, maybe 5 if you don’t mind getting hands dirty now and then.

Used this rig in wet and dry conditions. Honestly, it handled trash better than I thought, didn’t clog much at all. The monitor is simple enough most the time, but I got a couple error codes that were confusing. Would be nice if they had clearer descriptions or help pop-ups.

I wouldn’t say maintenance is the easiest, but no major issues for me yet. Still, opening up some bits for cleaning after each job can get old. I wish some of the parts felt sturdier, especially the locking levers. Price is uh, not the best, sort of high, but it was the only machine around that could handle my speed. Comfort - not much to say, just like any other modern planter. Works for me.

I’ve got a few seasons on the Tempo L16. What stands out is how little attention it needs. Haven’t swapped a single part after a whole bunch of hectares which is rare for me. Not gonna lie, it handles hills better than I figured. Stays steady at 16-18 km/h, even with some rough ground. Running it with a 350 hp tractor was perfect, maybe overkill on some days, but I like not stressing the engine. Only thing that bugs me is those big fertilizer tanks are a pain to reach if you’re in a hurry. Still, the big capacity means long stretches without refilling, so you kind of forget about that. Overall it’s reliable but not absolutely perfect - wish loading was faster.

Tried out the Väderstad Tempo this spring on maize and sunflower, and overall, it's a real mover for speed if you've got the right field conditions. I was running at about 15 km/h, and the accuracy of seed placement actually surprised me, got pretty even rows-this isn't typical for most planters at those speeds. Switching the seeding disk for different crop sizes is straightforward, but getting the settings dialed in from the tractor cab took a bit more time the first few runs than the 5-7 minutes they say. Not a biggie but something to know. The bins for seed and fertilizer are a good size, saved some time on refills. Haven't had any big issues with the machine getting jammed up either, that air pressure system seems to work. The display shows enough info so you can catch problems early. Only annoyance? The price is high, but that's standard for new gear like this. Maintenance hasn't come up much yet. Would have liked more options straight away for different row widths.

Used the Väderstad Tempo L 16 throughout the last sunflower and corn season. It's quick for sure, can cover more hectares than the older planters I've worked with, honestly felt a bit odd at first driving so fast but didn't notice skips or uneven rows. The whole big central fert tank is a bonus when you're stuck on the far end of the farm, not having to stop so much to refill saves a lot of headache. I gotta say, the electric drive system is something new for me, has been reliable so far but I'm a bit nervous about repairs if something in the electronics goes out. At least there's a good support system from Väderstad, got answers when I needed 'em. Setting up the monitor and electronics takes some getting used to, definitely more buttons than I'm used to, and the iPad thing is... kind of fancy for a guy who's used to levers. Frame folds up nice, easy to road it. My only gripe is that I wish cleaning out the seed box was easier, it's good but could be better; overall not bad though.

I like the Tempo mostly because it plays nice with Trimble. ISOBUS connection is solid and I can run the planter from the same TMX display I’m steering with. Less screens, less cable mess. The variable rate seeding is where I’m spending my time now. We run prescription maps split into zones and you can see the rate change on the go. It actually follows the map, not just “kind of”.

Each row unit having electric drive helps a lot. Row-by-row shutoff is clean, and you can change population without doing anything dumb mechanically. Still, I’m not gonna pretend it’s cheap. You pay for this level of control. Also, if your internet/modem side is flaky, sending jobs wirelessly turns into a headache, so I always keep a backup plan for getting the task onto the display.

Got to use the Tempo L 16 last few weeks on corn. Setting up the downforce feels precise, you just hit the button and every row keeps that seed right where it needs to go. Appreciate how easy it folds for transport because some of my fields are a real patchwork, lots of poles and weird corners. Don't love how much tech is packed in, feels like if something goes weird it's all sensors and wires, but it hasn't failed me yet and Väderstad service is pretty quick to help out if I call. Seed hoppers hold a decent load, less stops, that's a plus. Comfort's fine in use, only thing is for smaller guys climbing up to check the bins is a bit of a stretch - made me wish for one more step. Overall, it's solid for what it's built to do, just hope repairs stay simple.

Ran a Tempo F8 behind a JD 6155M last season on sunflower and some corn. The thing is quick, no doubt. We sat around 16 km/h and it still held depth and spacing better than the older kit we had. That’s what I care about most, not chasing some record speed. Hookup with that Deere felt balanced, no weird tugging, just steady pull. Price stings, yeah, but you’re paying for it to place seed right when you’re moving.

I’ve spent a lot of hours behind different precision drills and the Tempo feels like it was built around keeping the seed stable at speed. The airflow pushing seeds down the tube sounds like a small detail, but in practice it cuts down doubles/skips when the machine shakes around. On slopes too, it holds spacing better than the old gravity drop style.

What I actually notice day to day: closing wheels choice matters. If you mess around with narrow wheels on small seed in lighter ground, you can mark the row and expose seed. The wider 50 mm wheels fix that. The toothed closing wheel option helps when the slot wants to stay open, like dry/no-till conditions. I’ve run one toothed and one standard wheel and it’s a decent combo.

Maintenance wise, it’s not scary, but you need to be the kind of person who keeps software updated and follows the calibration steps. The manuals/videos inside iControl are useful, I’ll give them that.
